I've always had a problem with other chocolate chip cookie recipes turning out well. Maybe good one time, but not so good the next time. I have found with this recipe, they turn out fantastic every time!
Ingredients:
3/4 c. butter flavor Crisco®
1 1/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2 T. milk
1 T. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. pecan pieces (optional)
Instructions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine butter flavor Crisco®, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until creamy. Beat egg into creamed mixture.
Combine flour, salt, and baking soda - and mix into creamed mixture until just blended.
Stir in chocolate chips and pecan pieces. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls (about 2 measuring tablespoons) of dough 3 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies (cookies will appear moist, DON'T OVER BAKE!), or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes, then place on foil on counter.
NOTE: If omitting nuts, add 1/2 cup more chocolate chips.
Enjoy!
